On the ANET A8, the front and rear mounts feature machined tolerances so massive that the Y rods float freely with at least 1/10th mm of play. This excessive movement is a primary cause of X wobbling, noise, and vibrations. To correct this issue, a simple solution exists. The lockers are designed to keep the Y rods in their nominal position under gravity by pushing them downwards. These lockers have been engineered to be springy for easy installation. Simply slide the right or left part onto the rod, then pull the bottom clip and secure it under the frame.
