This is my take on this design (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1959208). In my opinion, some people overanalyze things when it comes to 3D printing. The original creator did an excellent job with the original piece, but they prioritized using the original hardware to its fullest potential at the expense of strength. To achieve greater durability, I swapped out the parts for ones that can accept 12mm long 3MM screws directly - no nut required. As a result, the part is now stronger and functions flawlessly in PLA. Enjoy!
