I caught sight of this item and thought it was an excellent concept, but it had one major flaw - printing the anchor. I resolved to edit it in 123D Design so it could be printed as a two-sided piece, giving it all the advantages of being printed flat without any of the complications that come with supports. To assemble it, I simply used Acetone and some filament to bond the pieces together, leaving almost no signs that it was ever in two separate parts. I printed it using a 0.4mm nozzle at 2mm layer height in Cura with three walls and 25% infill, which actually made it stronger than normal prints with 50% infil. It's essential to be mindful when trying to make prints more robust - increasing the infill does not necessarily mean a stronger print; instead, it's better to boost the number of walls while keeping the infill at its standard level or even reducing it slightly for larger prints.
