Anet A8 Y Belt Holder
thingiverse
I was going to post these designs last year along with The Slab and the X belt holder. However, I won't be updating them now because I've finished working on that project. My motors tend to skip or stall instead of the belt coming loose. Right now, I'm busy building a CoreXY printer. So, yes. When creating an X belt holder, you also need to design a Y belt holder since they both broke at the same time last year. This one is built to be more durable than the previous ones. I'm not sure if I installed the "secure" piece properly or if I jammed the belts into the holder during installation. I remember making an error while installing it because the belt wasn't perfectly aligned with the pulley. The printer still worked fine, though. I applied a mirror with thermal paste, Artic-MX2, to my Y bed, which made it extremely heavy. That's why I created this design last year. One more thing: the ANET A8 screw holes aren't aligned perfectly. At least mine weren't. Use a good screwdriver and some elbow grease to attach the M4 nut. It's challenging to do this with the heated bed still attached to the Y bed. My Fusion 360 file is disorganized because I have several projects, including four of these designs, and other stuff. I forgot which ones I printed out, but these two files in the STL folder had a unique name.
