Anet A8 Y Axis Tensioner Improved Design

Anet A8 Y Axis Tensioner Improved Design

thingiverse

This is an enhanced Y-axis tensioner designed specifically for Anet A8 printers. The bearing in the original design is limited by pressure from the axial bolt, preventing it from rotating freely and resulting in excessive wear on the belt. Furthermore, it lacks adjustability. My design utilizes the same bearings as the original but positions them to prevent contact with the sides, allowing for smooth rotation. Both halves can be adjusted independently to achieve centered belt alignment and fine-tune tension within a limited range. When used in conjunction with my Y-axis Belt Clamp (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2249112), this solution provides a complete overhaul of your printer's Y-axis power transfer system. Please leave a comment if you find it helpful. Edit: July 16th, 2017 - I've modified the design to align the pulley with the motor pulley.
