It's not the sharpest image, but it still gets the point across.\r\n\r\nTo avoid a similar mishap in the future, I replaced the plywood bed housing with a more reliable solution that doesn't involve those rickety compression screws. As a result, the y-axis motor no longer takes the brunt of the impact.\r\n\r\nThis custom spacer sits snugly between the SCS8UU housings and the bed itself, providing a much-needed buffer zone. It's an essential component that keeps everything running smoothly.\r\n\r\nAnother included part is a spacer designed specifically for the belt holder. Since the bearing spacers require extra clearance, this addition ensures a seamless fit.\r\n\r\nSpecial thanks to Gear_Down_For_What for coming up with the sleek and minimalist belt clamp design!\r\n\r\nThat's about it - a straightforward print job that requires minimal fuss. Feel free to use PETG or ABS for the material, as they can withstand some heat. I opted for MakerGeeks' Raptor filament due to its rigidity and heat resistance. A moderate infill setting of 40% should suffice, but you can adjust it according to your needs.
