Anet A8 Y Axis Motor Mount Replacement
thingiverse
I am upgrading all of the delicate acrylic components on my Anet A8 with 3D printed parts (681 grams replaced so far including the spool holder). This way, I will have a spare for each part and something that absorbs vibrations better than acrylic. Plus, I can pick any color I want. These parts were printed using PLA with 60 percent infill. They turned out perfectly without needing much tweaking to fit. I was also able to install a cork motor gasket at this point to help dampen things down. Special thanks go to Simhopp and tzahov for designing these components! I assembled them all together in one spot, and I modified the Y Axis Motor Mount so that the hole near the bottom goes all the way to the bottom. This makes it easier to replace or move wires if needed. The original Y Axis Motor Mount is still included, untouched. Here's a link to the motor gaskets so you know what I'm talking about: http://www.makergeeks.com/ne17stga4pa.html Print Details: * Printer: Anet A8 * Rafts: No * Supports: No * Infill: 60 percent * Notes: These prints are easy because they're flat, and I used PLA.
