I designed this thing for my E3D V6 hotend mount (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3175267). The switch holder accommodates both switches for the x- and z-axis. The z-axis endstop is attached to the spindle and turns with it, resulting in a significantly higher precision than a linear endstop. The distance between the center of the spindle and the microswitch is 8 mm, which means that the circumference is approximately 50 mm. 1 mm of movement along the circumference translates to about 0.15 mm of movement in the z-direction.
