Anet A8 X-Tensioner for protruding bars
thingiverse
Hi everyone, I'm addressing the issue with my Anet A8 where the two x-axis bars protrude on the left side. To resolve this problem, I designed a custom x-tensioner specifically for this setup. The key benefit of this design is that it applies tension force directly to both bars, minimizing any potential bending. All you need to do is print three parts: two sleeves from the "casquillo_8mm.stl" file and one x-tensioner from the "X-Tensioner2.stl" file. Additionally, you'll require two M8 nuts and screws, along with a longer belt. You can reuse your existing M3 nut, screw, and pulley. First, insert a sleeve into each protruding bar, then place the M8 nuts into the x-tensioner. Next, mount the pulley within the x-tensioner, making sure the belt is already rolled up. Finally, secure everything with the M8 screws. I recommend printing a couple of M8 knobs to make handling them easier.
