I revamped this design to improve its performance, identifying several issues with version 1 - primarily overheating of the extruder motor and poor heat retention leading to warping of the carriage. To create a carriage that could accommodate dual nozzles while retaining the stock direct extruder's efficiency with flexible filament, I incorporated an E3D remote extruder for reduced weight. The z-probe sensors were positioned 18mm from the nozzle tips on the side to simplify bed leveling. Adjusting the E3D up and down allows for precise nozzle alignment. This carriage utilizes 16mm polymer bushings. To assemble, various 2mm and 3mm screws are required. For detailed assembly instructions, simply leave a comment below and I'll respond as soon as possible. Note that the E3D carrier might require some size adjustments - especially with clones. The fan nozzle has been redesigned to mount the fan in the back for improved balance. If you'd like more information or access to the Freecad file, just drop me a line in the comments.
