Anet A8 X-belt Tensioner
thingiverse
This redesign brings a fresh spin to Brisemuth's ingenious Anet A8 X-belt tensioner idea, elevating its functionality without requiring an additional longer x-belt purchase. The design expertly reaches through the pulley support, providing tension by gently pushing on the X-axis bearing rods, thus preventing them from squeezing the Z-bearing rods together. The original tensioner concept did not quite hit the mark for me due to a critical flaw - it failed to leave sufficient space between the pulley and belt, rendering the belt unable to move freely. This redesign addresses this issue head-on by introducing two key improvements: 1. A significantly larger space is allocated for the pulley and belt, ensuring smooth movement. 2. The need for additional supports has been eliminated altogether. Brisemuth's tensioner counterpart remains unchanged in its design. To bring this upgraded tensioner to life, you'll require a few readily available components that are likely still in your parts stash after completing your A8: 1. Four M8 nuts 2. Four M3x13 screws 3. Reuse of the X-pulley, pulley shaft screw, and pulley shaft nut
