If this design helps you, consider showing your appreciation by tipping me - I invested significant time into creating it. Thank you in advance! Anet A8 PLUS: To use my design, you'll need to reverse the x motor direction, either by adjusting the firmware or by reversing one coil of the stepper motor. I've remixed Kenneth Jiang's version to include a tensioner on the setup. There's a screw (M3x30) that goes through the body and attaches to the nut, which is tightened from inside. You install the belt as shown in the picture, then tighten it with the screw. I wanted to use the length of the x_belt after the first build of the Anet. It was too short for most tensioners, but this one fits perfectly and allows you to get the belt quite tight. I ended up loosening it a bit not to put too much force on the Z axis. ### File to print * You'll need one tightened part * For the body, measure your belt - dimensions are as follows: + Body: 1.65mm toothed groove and 2.35mm folded groove + Thin belt: 1.5mm toothed groove and 2.2mm folded groove + Gates fiberglass: 1.3mm toothed groove and 2mm folded groove ### V2 I've added more structure to the upper part, as well as revised the teeth. They're still quite tight, and I have to push the belt with a screwdriver to get it to the bottom of the groove. ### V3 Thanks for your comments and likes - it's appreciated! I had a failure of the tightened part, which broke at the nut. So I went back and increased the size of the section where it broke. Hopefully, this will be correct now. I'll print a second one as a spare just in case. * Increased the space for the teeth, so the belt slides in easily but is still snug. * Rotated the STL so that the correct print orientation is native - no more turning the part for printing. * Removed one screw that was basically useless and added weight to the carriage. * With the new orientation, I didn't have issues with the slide portion, so I left it as is. It's still quite snug, which is what you want! * Added a version for thin belts, as when I upgraded my GT2 belt, the new one with a fiberglass core was thinner than the steelcore that came with the Anet. It slipped and I couldn't tighten the belt. ### V4 I've narrowed down the thin belt version - toothed groove is now 1.5mm and folded groove is 2.2mm. With bASHer91's recommendation, I've also uploaded an even thinner design for gates fibercore belts, which are 1.3mm and 2mm respectively. ### Print service My print service: If you're interested, contact me directly on Thingiverse. Treatstock isn't sustainable, and there's a void in the market for a platform.
