I recently purchased two idlers, specifically the "20T ID3 OD18 W6" variety, although in hindsight, the "16T ID3 OD13 W6" might have been a better choice to replace the pairs of bearings used as belt idlers on my A8. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/GT2-Idler-Timing-Pulley-16-20-Teeth-Passive-Synchronous-Wheel-Bore-3mm-5mm-Aluminum-Timing-Pulley/32817701071.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.75d04c4dKwhA35 I successfully installed one on the Y-axis tensioner (https://www.thingiverse.com/make:520391), but the stock right-side X-axis mount was too narrow, so I decided to modify it. However, OpenSCAD kept throwing errors at me, suggesting that something in the original STL file wasn't correct. To resolve this issue, I began researching STL repair options and discovered MakePrintable through DuckDuckGo's search results. I uploaded my original file to their system, let them work on repairing it, and downloaded the result. The repaired STL file is larger than the original but now OpenSCAD no longer complains when I adjust the idler's placement by shaving off a half-millimeter from each side. I've successfully printed the remixed right-side mount. The holes for the X-axis rods need to be drilled out with an 8-mm drill bit, as standard sizes won't fit properly - a 5/16" bit is too small and a 21/64" bit is too large. To achieve this, I recommend purchasing a metric drill-bit set; I found one on eBay for a reasonable price. The original left-side mount is included for reference purposes.
