Anet a8 Volt Gauge shell and mount

I got a couple of 12v to USB car plug in things, that displays incoming voltage in blue and temp in red. Not really worried about using the USB port but these were really priced well over other volt gauge options. After building my anet a8 I wanted to watch the voltage, seems everyone does. So I played with a couple of ideas about making a plug in for the gauge and took it apart. Soldered power wires to it. Then I decide to make a gauge mount for it and this is what I came up with. It mounts behind the anet a8 controller board on the top instead of the two white stand offs. The temp reading is of the gauge itself as the sensor wirings is fairly short. I may extend the sensor wire so i can read down by the anet board itself. All and all it worked out really well. Print Settings Printer: Anet A8 Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 20% Notes: I used a brim to make sure none of the parts lifted other wise it was pretty easy to print. Post-Printing I had to clean up the holes and the slots a little. Cut the brim off all parts. It is designed for m3 hard ware, but i did have to ream some of the holes. The board fits snuggle but does not need to be forced in to place. The gauge bezal fits nicely and didnt need any glue. How I Designed This This is pretty much designed just for this little board and meter. But the mount and arms may have other uses. They were inspired by the gopro arms but are not compatable as far as i know. Category: 3D Printer Accessories
