Anet A8 Vertical Heat Bed Wire Strain Relief for JST VH 6 Pin
thingiverse
This is a low-profile vertical right-angle wire support and strain relief for the JST VH 6-pin connector that connects to the heat bed of the Anet A8. Before attaching this, make sure to fix your heat bed connector to utilize both positive and negative pins on the heatbed. After doing so, my connector no longer gets hot to the touch. I wanted this design because other heat bed connector strain reliefs around here either have wires exiting straight out the back or feature a hard right angle in the same plane as the connector for people who have turned their heat beds 90 degrees. Since I've oriented my heat bed cable vertically from above with the stock bed orientation, I needed my wires supported vertically to minimize angles of repetitive flexing in the cable as it moves. This print simply snaps into place once fully inserted around the heat bed connector; it's a snug fit that requires some effort to squeeze in there. Be sure not to pinch the wires and then zip-tie them up when you have it on all the way. I designed this to utilize the extra 2 mm zip ties that come with the Anet A8. Included .scad design file if you want to tweak with it!
