Anet A8 Upper Frame Support
thingiverse
This frame brace will secure the upper part of your Anet A8 (or similar) at a perfect 90° angle. It effectively cancels out any flex caused by filament holders or X travel movement. The design is my own creation, but it was inspired by others I've seen online. The frames were a snug fit on mine, requiring no adjustments whatsoever. However, keep in mind that your printer calibration might differ from mine, so you may encounter fitment issues. Please note that the photos I uploaded feature my initials instead of "Anet A8" to avoid confusion within the community. These were actually the first items I printed using blue PLA, but the quality wasn't as expected or consistent with previous prints done with white PLA from Gearbest. I suspect a temperature issue might be the culprit, and once I resolve it, I'll provide more photos for comparison. In the meantime, I've experimented with different temperature settings for the blue PLA. The original print was done at 200°C, while the one with two frame supports was printed at 185°C – resulting in a noticeable improvement. The blue PLA used is from Filamentum on Amazon, and I'm still unsure if it's to my liking; I might try other brands next. If you experience any issues, please don't hesitate to reach out.
