UPDATE: Redesigned for Easier Printing - No Y Offset Anymore. Are you fed up with fan ducts that drop? Do you struggle with clearance setup using igus? Is too much friction on X rods driving you crazy? Try the ultimate X carriage for your Anet A8! Two versions are now available: * Z inductive sensor 18mm with M4 nut/screw for belts * Z inductive sensor 12mm with M4 nut/screw for belts You'll need to gather a few parts: * Two M3 screws/nuts (15mm) * Two M4 screws/nuts (15mm) Important settings: * X offset: -32 mm * Y offset: 0 mm (updated) This fan duct is designed specifically for e3dv5/6. Simply clip the fan onto the top of the pipe, and you're good to go! No need for screws. Make sure to maintain a distance of 45.6mm between your X smooth rods. The design is perfectly aligned for this setup. Be cautious when mounting this carriage to ensure proper spacing. Bowden mods are required. This carriage features a single bearing on the upper smooth rod, just like many Prusa carriages and Anycubic Mega i3 models. Print with support, and make sure the bearing rolls smoothly onto the top. You'll experience a much smoother X movement compared to the original carriage, with no clearance issues and easy access to nice plane surfaces on your 3D printed objects. Check out this sample surface, printed at 0.24mm layer height, outer perimeter speed of 60mm/s, using PLA Neofil filament. Enjoy!
