Anet A8 Top screw brace
thingiverse
This part secures the top of the ACME rod that drives the Z-axis movement. It incorporates the smooth, round guide rod and the top cap screw. The included stock screw is sufficiently long, rendering additional hardware unnecessary. Acquiring a bearing is required; any local skate shop will have them at an affordable price - the same bearings found on skateboards can be used. I purchased a pair of used bearings for $1 each. Please indicate in the comments if there are any further modifications needed to this part. 02/15/17: The file was updated to correct scaling and include the original Sketchup drawing. 03/05/17: This part is slightly deeper than the bearing due to the frequent occurrence where the Z-screw sits lower than the top opening. Print Settings: Printer: Anet A8 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.02mm Infill: 100% Notes: You may need to sand or grind the bearing holder slightly for a proper fit.
