Anet A8 Top Horizontal Spool Bracket/Mount

I recently created a remix that caught my attention, but unfortunately, I still can't find the original design on Thingiverse. I'm actively searching for it. When designing spool brackets, I've tried several options before finding one that suits my needs. Given my limited space, I required a top-mounted spool holder to ensure efficient filament usage. However, some spool holders I experimented with led to twisted filament as it was pulled off the spool. I discovered the root cause of this issue: the spool needed a slight amount of tension to prevent twisting. Most top-mount designs failed to provide sufficient tension, resulting in tangled filaments. To address this problem, I designed a top mount that introduces gentle gravity-induced tension throughout the spool. The spool wheel is securely attached to a threaded rod, preventing it from spinning freely. This setup creates perfect friction resistance between the spool and its holder, allowing for smooth filament feeding without twisting or tangles.
