Anet A8 top frame + Zsync
thingiverse
This modification requires moving the screen. The upper traverse is designed to be more resistant than the original part, despite being in two parts, and each part sits on a plate of 200*200 (just an orientation issue). The upper traverse includes a Vslot 2020/2040 rail for driving accessories or moving the screen. The total assembly requires two identical pulleys for the Z axes, which allows avoiding step losses on a motor like I experienced, and does not require disconnecting a motor. The spacers are for centering and calibrating the bearings on the upper traverse. The bearings at the top of the Z rods prevent wobble and problems with braking/friction effects. In total, you need: 4 608 bearings, 2 8mm L22 rods, 3 M5x15 screws, 1 M5x25 screw, 4 M5 nuts, 6 M3x12 screws, 6 M3 nuts, and 1 GT2 20T D5mm pulley. I added my own pulley if needed, which requires 1 M3 nut and 1 M3x10 screw per pulley.
