Anet A8 Top Filament Mount
pinshape
I created this innovative filament mount to address a problem that had been nagging me - filament shavings on top of my extruder. I took this as a clear indication that the motors were exerting excessive force on my spool, resulting in an inconsistent flow of filament into the extruder. To rectify this issue, I mounted the filament so that the outside edge of my roll was directly over my extruder. This strategic placement allows the roll to naturally unwind and puts minimal pressure on the x-motor. This project is still a work in progress, but I'm excited about its potential for improvement. Eventually, I plan to expand the mount across the entire printer, which will significantly enhance its performance. I'll be sure to update the files and photos as I make changes, so stay tuned for further updates. Print Settings Printer: RepRap Anet A8 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution:.2 Infill: 50%
