Anet A8 threaded rod clip-on ball joint raspi cam mount
thingiverse
A versatile Raspberry Pi cam holder that leverages sturdy ball joints sourced from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3412413 and a socket that clips onto the threaded rods of the Anet A8 printer. All components were printed at 0.2 mm resolution without supports. The ball joints will likely benefit from a raft, with both successful and unsuccessful attempts made to incorporate one. Raft quality has no bearing on joint functionality. The bumper for the Raspberry Pi featured in the overview image can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3401335 Special thanks to Sergei for uploading the original/horizontal version of these ball joints, which served as inspiration. Note: After extended use, my ball-joints began to loosen slightly. To address this issue, I created new versions with a 0.1 mm increase in diameter (ball-joint.new.stl and/or dumbbell.new.stl). Additionally, I opted for solid infill rather than hollowing out the joints, finding that 50% infill worked well. A cleaner version of the ball joints utilizing maximum overhang has also been added, requiring printers capable of 45° overhangs to produce. If you're an Anycubic Kossel owner, consider trying this alternative: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3412439 Edit: A new version of the clip with a ball has been added; unfortunately, no images are available yet.
