Updates 27/10/2019 I deleted the previous design mainly because it could be misleading, but also because it needed more plastic and a special jig, plus epoxy glue to assemble and could be made smaller and more efficient. Updates 11/07/2019 A new redesign of the tensioner was uploaded. It no longer has those long rectangular bars, and it's much more compact. It has a recess on both sides so it can still fit even if your X8mm rods are sticking out for some reason. Updates 30/07/2017 All the pieces were reuploaded with only minor changes made, including chamfers and similar adjustments. No dimensions were altered. The old model and new one are completely compatible with each other. Updates 28/07/2017 A cutaway view was uploaded to make assembly easier. The inner bars should be glued to the inner piece of the assembly using epoxi or CA glue. This is a different X Axis Belt Tensioner for Anet A8. It's based on the one by WedgeSD. CHANGES: -The bars (guides) of the inner piece are now separated from the piece itself, so you can print the inner piece vertically and the bars horizontally. They should be glued using epoxi or CA with a spacer if desired to keep them aligned. Be careful not to let the spacer stick to the glue. -The back part of both main pieces is now completely flat, leaving a smooth finish and eliminating the need for supports. -The knob can be used with any X or Y tensioner. NEEDED: -An M4x20 hex bolt -An M4 hex nut -M4 washers (x2) (optional) -A 20mm spring around the M4 bolt -An M3x25mm bolt for the idler pulley -M3 washers (x6) (optional) ASSEMBLY: Check the cutaway side view (third picture) for a better understanding. M4 washers can be placed on each side of the spring. M3 washers can be placed between the M3 bolt/nut and printed parts, between inner and outer case, and on each side of the idler. WORKS WITH: Fully compatible with either toothless or toothed idler pulley. Thanks to @simonsays1 for the input. Any feedback is welcome!
