I use Greg191134's clip on my CR-10 and it works fantastic! I've noticed an increasing number of complaints about fried hotbed connections within the Anet community, so I decided to snag his design to remix for the A8 because I'm not a fan of the chunky and ugly chain. Please use filament that can withstand high bed temperatures without warping. I used annealed MakerGeek's Raptor PLA, which can handle up to 125°C without issue. To assemble this clip, you'll need: 1 small zip tie 1 grub screw (the spare part that came with the A8 - yes, probably the one missing from your box!) I left a bit of extra space for bed height adjustment to accommodate filament shrinkage during the annealing process. The grub screw compresses into the hole to secure the connection to the bed. Update: I added a v2 version without the additional space. Disclaimer: I'm a beginner, and this design seems to work great for me, but if you use it and experience any issues, I won't be held responsible. Please don't ask me about slicer settings or troubleshooting print problems - I'm still learning. If you're not comfortable with losing some bed space, don't install this clip, and don't complain to me about it.
