Anet A8 Stealthburner carriage

Anet A8 Stealthburner carriage

thingiverse

This is a simple x-carriage for Anet A8 that supports Voron StealthBurner print head. There are several similar designs, however they all move the centre of mass of the StealthBurner too far away from the x-axis rods which can cause slight flexing of the rods. Theoretically it would also cause worse results in resonance compensation (input shaping). I tried to solve these imperfections in my design by moving the print head as close to the rods as it was possible. The only disadvantage is that the inductive probe had to be moved further away from the nozzle. For bearings you can use standard linear bearings from your Anet with 15mm outer diameter. IMPORTANT! There are several versions of Anet A8 with different rod spacings. This design is compatibile with 46mm spacing only, so measure the distance between the centres of x-axis rods on your printer before printing! Bill of materials: M3x25 screw 6pcs (or longer, I have used 30mm) M3x55 screw 2pcs M3x8 screw 4pcs (or similar, you can find some inside old PC case) M3x20 screw 2pcs (for mounting the probe) M3 brass heat insert 10pcs Printing: If you don't use your Anet inside enclosure, you can print this carriage in PLA. Otherwise I recommend using ABS. Everything should be printed without supports, except SB_mount.
