ANET A8 Static Guard

ANET A8 Static Guard

thingiverse

I rarely noticed my A8 display suddenly displaying nothing or garbage characters. It seemed to happen just as I was reaching for one of the control buttons. Since I installed this static guard, no more problems have occurred!!! You don't need to download anything here. Just a chunk of bare wire and maybe a crimp on eye connector will do. I found braided picture hanging wire or bare braided copper works nicely, but even solid (bare) wire will work just fine. Just take a look at the pictures and give it your best shot. Attach one end of the wire to a screw on the PSU case. Make sure to use a conductive screw and secure it with an existing attachment point that's holding the grounded PSU case in place. This should also work for any non-metal frame printer. Always touch the wire before pressing a button or reaching for the sd card. If you feel a slight static jolt, it's working!
