**Update:** (15 Jul 18) I highly recommend using my parametric spool instead of the threaded spool: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2855566 I've printed three of these in various sizes, and they all work as expected. They use less filament than this design, print faster, and eliminate threads by utilizing two equal-sized half-spools that go together on a rod. I'm still using the printer-mounted bracket in this project; I see no reason to replace it. **Update:** (30 Mar 18) The upsized nut doesn't fit onto the upsized bolt. It's too loose. I've been using the bolt without the nut just fine, though. Maybe I'll redesign the bolt into a plain rod with no flange or threads, as that works well enough and would save time and material to print. The spool bolt included with the SpoolHolder project is too long to use when attached to the adapter that sits around the display board, so I shortened it by 30 mm. Pictures will be uploaded once I've had a chance to print it (printer's currently busy with a filament guide). This gathers up everything you need to hold the spool above your printer in one project, and it can reuse the threaded rod from the spool holder bundled with the printer. The adapter brackets replace the spacers between the display board and the upper horizontal frame piece. The spool holder arms slot into the brackets. The spool bolt and nut...that should be obvious.
