I designed this arm to provide some flexibility and absorb vibrations that could affect the printing machine while it's in operation. It is specifically engineered for the Anet A8 with an acrylic frame, approximately 5/16 inches thick or around 8 millimeters. The support holds a threaded rod supplied with the printer, which I believe measures 8mm in diameter.
