If your smooth rods have drilled out the holes in the acrylic frame, you can utilize this solution to rectify the issue. First, remove the affected frame parts and clamp them together so that the affected holes are aligned. Enlarge the affected holes to 10mm (the outer diameter of the bushing) by reaming them out, then press the bushing into the expanded holes with the flange facing the inner surfaces of the frame. If the inner diameter is too tight to insert the rod, you will need to enlarge it to 8mm by reaming. Use two 8mm locking collars to secure the rods and bushings in the frame. This should prevent this problem from recurring in the future. This product was created with Tinkercad.
