A Simple X-Belt Tensioner for the Anet A8 (and A6?) Originally designed by Jimmy Olivo and uploaded to the Official Anet Support Page on Facebook, this innovative solution aims to eliminate a common problem that had been plaguing 3D printing enthusiasts. The original design featured an offset that resulted in bearings within the Z carriage making unwanted sounds during operation. I redesigned the tensioner so that the belt is linear, eliminating any weird noises that can be detrimental to smooth print quality. This upgrade has greatly improved my printer's performance and reliability. To build this simple yet effective X-belt tensioner, you will need a few basic components: a M3 nut and a screw, both of which should be approximately 40-50mm in length (you may have these spare from your printer assembly). Print Settings: Printer: Anet A8 Rafts: Not required Supports: Not necessary Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 50%
