Anet A8 **SIMPLE** Top Mounted Filament Spool Cradle
thingiverse
I created this filament spool holder for the Anet A8, utilizing four 608 bearings (skate/22mm) and offering options for attaching bowden fittings at both front and rear. If you lack access to bearings, printing some is always a viable alternative. There are indeed better 608 designs available, so I won't attempt to reinvent the wheel. SETTINGS: I printed using 0.1mm layers with a 0.4mm nozzle at 60mm/s print speed. DIRECTIONS: - Print one frame as normal and one mirrored frame (reversed/inverted/flipped). - Print four bearing guides. - Press fit the bearing guides onto the bearings. - Press fit the bearings onto the frame pieces, two each. - Remove two screws from the left side of the screen mount and slide the normal frame on, replacing screws as found. - Remove two screws from the right side of the screen mount and slide the mirrored frame on, replacing screws as found. - At this point, you should see two frame pieces opposite each other: one moving very little on the left and one sliding mostly freely on the right. - The bearings should be facing inward and accessible from the front. - The connection to the screen on the printer's reverse side remains accessible. Let me know if any issues arise, and I'll do everything possible to assist you.
