Anet A8 Shaft Stop
thingiverse
This is a replacement part for the acrylic framed Anet A8. It's always been my intent to eventually replace the acrylic frame of my Anet A8 with a rigid metal frame. After just over 2 years of relatively trouble free service, the first acrylic part of my Anet A8 snapped. During a recent print, one of the bearings for the bed assembly finally had enough dust packed in it to cause it to grip the shaft tightly enough on the right to drive the shaft forward through the little piece that holds the shaft in place. I replaced only the broken stop as I plan to build an all steel frame for my A8 in coming weeks. It's quite likely that this will be the last model I post for the default configuration of the Anet A8. The Anet A8 is one of my favorite printers, but that acrylic frame is just wrong and has to go. There are 4 of this part on the A8, two in front, two in rear, and two on top. I printed this with 100% infill for strength, and being so small, still took only 13 minutes to print. I printed this on my CTC A10s since the filament I had loaded on that machine was less obnoxious than what was loaded on the other printers, and my Anet A8, which had silk silver loaded was taking a temporary rest... :) Of course it would look better in black, but my quick options were indigo, pink, light green, royal blue, or fire engine red.
