ANET A8 SD holder relocation
thingiverse
With the use of a SD to Micro SD Card Extender, you can relocate the micro-sd card to somewhere more convenient. I screwed it into place with the existing frame screws and then applied one tiny dab of super glue on the back side to hold it firmly in place. Then you tear the extender case apart and insert the circuit board into the new printed part, fold the cable over to exit from the bottom of the print, and secure the lid with more tiny dabs of super glue. I have included the Google Sketchup file for anyone who wants to edit this one and make it even better. I believe all SD to Micro SD card extenders are identical on eBay, but be sure to search for "SD to Micro SD Card Extenders 62mm" or "25in". You will need the longer one (62mm or 25in) to mount it on the bottom right side. And this upgrade won't break the bank - less than $5, but it's worth every penny. Print Settings: Printer: Anet A8 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: .2 Infill: 100% Notes: This part is extremely thin, so be sure to level your bed perfectly.
