Anet A8 Rear Turbo Fan Mount and Duct
thingiverse
I was really looking forward to always having the turbo fan mounted on the front of my j-carriage, but it just doesn't leave me with any options for mounting an auto leveling sensor or switches. So I made a rear fan mount and a custom fan duct to go along with it. There's a x end stop pad that ensures the fan won't hit the frame in the back, which means you'll have to adjust your x-axis settings by about 15 mm, but that's not a big deal since the nozzle is still way off to the left of the bed, so you don't lose any print area. All you need are the stock screws to mount it and one of the turbo fan screws to mount the fan, since I added an upper peg to support the fan. This setup lets me mount the turbo fan in the rear of the carriage and the fan duct as well. Now I can see the nozzle a lot easier when starting up my prints, and I can mount the auto leveling sensor in line with the nozzle on the x-axis, so I only have to worry about the y-axis offset. In the near future, I'm making a front carriage assembly to house an auto leveling sensor in line with the nozzle as well as a few switches to toggle LEDs and fans on and off.
