Anet A8 Rear mount 500mW laser bracket
thingiverse
Hey everyone, This is my very first try at mounting a 500mW laser module to my Anet A8 printer. The module draws power from the fan connector, and I'm happy to report that it works perfectly after testing. To get a decent focus distance on the laser when etching a single sheet of paper, I set the Z height to 10mm. The laser module itself is a compact 33mm square device that slides into its bracket until it hits an endstop. There's a convenient slot in the bracket for an M3 screw to keep the laser module securely in place. To mount this setup on my machine, I need one M3x8mm screw and two M3x30mm screws. I designed all of this in Blender.
