I used a 12mm Inductive Sensor (LJ12A3-4-Z/BX) so I mounted it solely on the lower mounting bracket because it's too short to fit snugly in both upper and lower positions. The sensor wouldn't have been long enough to drop down into sensing range from either mount, forcing me to find an alternative solution. I opted to thicken the Mount plate for added stability instead. While it's not strictly necessary since the Sensor doesn't shift around much, mounting it in a single position is sufficient. Always better safe than sorry. This modification should help achieve the desired outcome.
