Updates to come (02/08/2017) I'm excited to announce that I'll be adding a slot for a key switch, making the machine child-safe when turned off. Currently, I'm working on a new cover with a hole for an 85x46mm power consumption display. Unfortunately, there's no way to fit both with the stock PSU height. Updates 24/07/2017 I've uploaded a new version for short flange S-240-12 version. I moved all the holes 6mm higher and also the cut where the bottom side of the flange rests. Some PSUs may have that short flange, at least in the US. Measure yours before choosing normal flange (approx 18mm) or short flange (approx 12mm). Thanks to @airrelic for their input. Updates 24/06/2017 I've uploaded a new version with some dimension changes. Now the side bolts thread into an M3 nut, instead of directly into the piece itself. This is a PSU cover designed specifically for Anet A8 printers. It fits S-240-12 PSUs and allows you to install a rocker switch socket like the one shown in the attached picture. It doesn't require any supports, brims, or additional features. The inside is reinforced for added stability. I recommend printing on glass with hairspray to achieve a smooth and clean front surface. You can easily bolt it to the holes in the front left top and right side front top. It should be printed with the front face facing down on the build plate, requiring no supports. To assemble this PSU cover, you'll need: * The switch itself * 1x M3x30mm bolt * 2x M3x12mm bolts * 2x M3 nuts * 1x 5x20mm 250V 3A Breaker (Fast Blow if possible). Note: 3A is only for 220V. * Some L, N, and E wires for the AC part. The color code depends on your country. * Faston terminal connectors. * Soldering iron and flux (optional) This PSU cover works with 3 Pin IEC320 C14 Rocker Switch Socket, like the one linked below: http://www.ebay.com/itm/181749779642?rmvSB=true Does it work for 110V? I haven't tested it for 110V, so input from any place in North/Central/South America would be greatly appreciated. As long as the PSU is set for 110V and the switch works for 110V and can handle a higher current, it should function properly. Please consult your electric supplier just to be sure. BobPantz made this remix for Multicomp JR-101-1-FRSG-03 Rocker Switch Socket (UK). If you create one, feel free to hit the "I made one" button. I'd love to hear your feedback! About the switches: Some switches have three terminals, while others have four. For that reason, I won't provide any wiring diagram. The wiring information should be provided by the manufacturer in their datasheet. Disclaimer: This mod requires some AC wiring, which can be hazardous and may cause major injuries or even death, as well as a fire or damage to your printer or home. Please do it at your own risk. Safety measures must be taken. Never work on the wiring with the printer plugged. Check the datasheet of the manufacturer before doing the wiring. Use a tester to check the wiring before switching it on. Print Settings: * Printer: Anet A8 * Rafts: No * Supports: No * Resolution: 200 microns * Infill: 15 to 20%
