Upgraded Prusa i3 MK2 X-Axis Kit
Important Update! If you downloaded this kit before October 8, 2018, 19:30 GMT+2, be aware that earlier versions contained incorrect files for the top axis. This has since been rectified. Kit Overview This is a direct replacement kit to upgrade your X-axis to match the Prusa i3 MK2 design by Josef Prusa. The spacing between steel rods and the Z-spindle differs slightly, requiring some adjustments. Optional Features You can choose from two versions: one with integrated Z-spindle anti-wobble bearings (similar to those found in skateboards) or a version that does not include this feature. Decide which option best suits your needs. Detailed Specifications The bearing fit is modeled at 22.3mm, which worked perfectly for my setup, but results may vary. The hole for the steel rod is designed at 8.1mm to ensure a precise fit on my A8 printer. Upgrade Benefits This kit seamlessly integrates with your Anet A8, allowing you to utilize the X-axis parts from the Prusa i3 MK2 without compromising your original components. If needed, you can easily revert back to your original setup. Additional Resources For the required X-axis parts, visit: https://www.prusa3d.com/downloads/others/prusai3_mk2_stl.zip Critical Note! Before installing this kit, be aware that you will need to make a minor cut in your printer's frame to create a relief for the X-axis motor. This adjustment ensures proper alignment and does not compromise the rigidity of your printer.
