anet a8 printhead bracket
thingiverse
I have an Anet A8 stock bracket that's not very efficient or attractive, one of my models that shows promise. I will make further updates to achieve better results and more, such as having the brush bearing in one piece without screws and lighter weight. It doesn't need any support, as it is oriented on its back, ready to print. This is because the print dynamics of MDF printers supporting the motor end with rigid print layers make it stable. After a fast print, I focused on structure and tolerance rather than aesthetics. The print had some design issues, such as: * Missing holes for reaching screws during mounting. * Screw heads not calculated, leaving no space for the motor. * Belt hangers too high up. * Cooler mount issues. I've since integrated and improved these features. The cooler is now mounted on the side, out of the way, and a cooling fan will be designed to aid in this need. Overall, it's a solid housing that works well. Let me know what you think! The print was successful, with all fans out of the way, except for a new design needed for the cooler. My only concern is whether it can handle heat during long and large prints. For now, it's a pass.
