A power supply unit (PSU) from an old computer was repurposed to create a connector and switch. The PSU was destined for the scrapyard until I rescued it. How I Designed This I printed a design from this website, but discovered that its measurements were incorrect for my PSU. To correct this mistake, I decided to recreate the design from scratch. This is the result of my first attempt at designing something suitable for my power supply. A mains connector and on/off switch salvaged from an old computer PSU were used to fill the holes. Mount the mains connector with M3 bolts and a nut. The switch simply slots into its hole. The outgoing 12-volt wires are threaded through a half-round hole on the right side, which partially covers a hole in the 8mm acrylic frame... and voila! I no longer need to unplug or plug wires; instead, I can simply flip a switch to turn my 3D printer on or off.
