Improvements for Anet A8 Plus Z Axis That Will Use Standard Motor Supports of the Printer and Standard Axis Position. This modification helps reduce axis wobble and motor position offset in relation to the 20x40 T-slot profile. I recommend using 100% infill for stiffness or 50% with five top and bottom layers, four perimeter walls. Printing with PETG produces better results than PLA, but both materials work well. For this modification, you will need: Four standard 608 ball bearings available on Ebay or Amazon. Four M3 x15mm screws and washers plus M3 nuts. Two M3 x25mm screws and washers for end stop motor mounting. One M3 x25mm screw (or longer) and two M3 nuts for Z-end stop motor side. Eight M5 T-nuts for profile assembly (screw, washer, and t-nut). Optional: Two M2.5 screws with washers and nuts for end stop or reuse standard printer parts. The four top screws are from the printer; simply add a large M5 washer as the mod is plastic. Suggested steps to set up the printer: Mount ball bearings, M3 screws, T-nuts, and end stops in each of the four pieces. Remove Z-top plates. Loosen motor screws and T-nut screws on both sides of the motor support (release motor coupler). Install mods in printer axis and end stop leg. Check and align motor position; tighten motor screws and mod T-nut screws (reconnect coupler). Set correct end stop position, then run auto-home printer command. Move Z-axis to the top and verify 4 top screw position (top holes are larger, but screws will be near center if printer is correctly aligned). Tighten 4 t-nuts and top screws. Move Z-axis up and down; check alignment of printer. If not correct, redo from beginning. Note: For better print results, use anti-backlash screws nuts available on Ebay or Amazon.
