Had a lot of problems with the Anet A8 plus display showing gibberish / garbled and chinese text and letters while printing. I noticed that it might have to with EMI (electromagnetic interference) or ESD (electrostatic discharge). Because when I would remove the display from the holder and put it next to the printer it didn't do it anymore. This solved the issue for me. Note: My printer isn't connected to a grounded outlet so that might have caused it as well.
