Anet A8 Original E3D v6 Carriage Bowden Mount With Proper Airflow

thingiverse

The original customizable E3D v6 carriage / Bowden mount design on Thingiverse didn't provide adequate airflow, so I redesigned it. **Note that this version is specifically for the original E3D v6.** Here's a full list of changes: * I flipped the orientation of the carriage to place the blower fan on the front (attached to the clamp) and the heatsink cooler on the side, allowing air to flow freely from left to right. * I adjusted the sizes of the two screw holes for the clamp to make it easier to secure. The holes use 28 mm long screws with a thickness of 3 mm for cutting into wood or plastic as shown in the third photo. * I optimized the shape of the carriage to reduce printing time and material costs. * I moved the mounting hole further outwards, ensuring proper orientation of the heating block. Check the second photo for correct heating block alignment. * The clamp should now be printed with supports; the carriage no longer requires them. Everything else remains unchanged. For detailed instructions on upgrades like cable chains, belt tensioners, and cooling ducts, please refer to the original design on Thingiverse. I've also included Blender files in case you want to further modify this design.
