Anet A8, Omni M505, Frame brace, Simple and sturdy.
thingiverse
Sturdy frame brace design. Simple setup includes a Y-axis belt roll holder with space for a nut and washer. Print these components with 100% fill to ensure durability. Next, drill 8mm holes through the center of front, aft, and central frame parts, located 20mm from the underside. The middle hole can be reduced to 10mm for added flexibility. Insert a 40cm long 8mm threaded bar through these holes, securing it with 8mm nuts on both sides of each frame part. This setup effectively distributes the force from the belt along the precise center point, preventing the transfer of tension forces to other parts of the structure. To ensure smooth attachment, countersink the roll holder screws by 3mm using a 5mm drill bit, making them flush with the surface. This prevents interference with the front nut. Installation is straightforward; simply place the printer on its side and drill the necessary holes. This task takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. Required components include: 1 x 40cm long 8mm threaded bar 6 x 8mm washers (optional) 6 x 8mm nuts
