Anet A8 Offset Filament Guide - Extruder Mounted

Anet A8 Offset Filament Guide - Extruder Mounted

thingiverse

This is just another filament guide for the Anet A8. I designed this with a very specific goal in mind. I'm using the amazing extruder fan modification from user nicolaidiz (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2037833) as well as the X axis cable chain (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1905344), which means that I only had two screws left over to fit a filament guide on the extruder housing! I needed something to keep the filament straight and off the cable chain, and to use the only two screws I had left, since most mounts attach to either all four screws or the outside screws on the left. So I came up with this real quick. It's not quite exactly how I want it, and I plan on tweaking it a little bit more, but for now it works perfectly! Print Settings Printer: Anet A8 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .20 Infill: 20% Notes: Nothing fancy. Supports aren't needed, .20 works best. Infill at least 20% is a good idea - anything higher is a waste of filament, but hey, it's your filament, not mine! Post-Printing Remove the two screws from the bearing block, add the filament guide, and put screws back in place. That simple! How I Designed This 123D Design (original file included in downloads)
