Anet A8 Mounting Bracket for HP Common Slot Power Supplies
prusaprinters

I had an ATX power supply running my A8 until recently...traced bed-heating problems to an overloaded ATX12V output that had started going bad. I replaced it with a 750W HP server power supply with a PCIe breakout board that had previously powered a mining rig.

Two of these brackets will secure any HP Common Slot server power supply to the original mounting holes in the A8 frame. Insert M3x12 screws and nuts in the provided holes to tighten the brackets around the power supply (but leave them loose for now). Attach the brackets to the frame with more M3x12 screws and nuts; use the holes provided for the stock power supply. Remove the frame piece at the top right corner, slide the power supply into place, and reinstall the frame piece. Tighten the two screws to keep the power supply from moving, then attach whatever adapter you're using and run power wiring to everything.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Anet

Printer:

A8

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.2 mm

Infill:

20%

Filament: AmazonBasics PLA white

Category: 3D Printer Parts
