Mosfet Holder 2.0 I recently stumbled upon a design for a mosfet holder that left me underwhelmed. The original model seemed awkward and poorly executed, with a design that failed to take full advantage of the available space. After taking a closer look at the design, I realized that it could be greatly improved upon. Here's my attempt at creating a revised version that addresses some of the issues I saw in the original. The first thing I noticed was that the mounting holes were not properly aligned with the mosfet's pins. This made it difficult to securely attach the holder to the board, which in turn caused unnecessary stress on the solder joints. To fix this issue, I redesigned the mounting holes so that they align perfectly with the mosfet's pins. This ensures a snug fit and prevents any movement or vibration from affecting the solder connections. Another problem I encountered was the lack of a secure way to hold the mosfet in place. The original design relied on a loose fit between the holder and the mosfet, which left it prone to shifting around during use. To address this issue, I added a small lip to the holder that provides a secure grip on the mosfet's body. This prevents any movement or vibration from affecting the solder connections. The final revision includes a few additional features that improve upon the original design. The holder now has a more compact footprint, which makes it easier to fit into tight spaces. It also includes a small indentation for easy removal of the mosfet when needed. I'm confident that this revised design will provide a better user experience and improved performance compared to the original model.
