I've combined two designer's work to create this new remix. I took the best from each item and merged them into one cohesive piece. The sensor placement was a major concern - it couldn't just dangle freely in front of the pre-extruder, nor could it be rigidly attached to the frame. Mounting it directly onto the moving part of the pre-extruder makes perfect sense for efficiency. The filament runout sensor has been modified with a 4mm hole, allowing for the installation of 2-3 inches of PTFE bowden tube as a guiding channel for the filament's path.
