Anet A8 M8 Threaded Rod Filament Spool Holder Mk.I
thingiverse
Simple, Inexpensive, Easy-to-Make Durable Filament Spool Holder for Anet A8 and Other Prusa-Style Printers. Why Choose This Over Other Holders? Firstly, it's easy to make and doesn't consume much filament. It also eliminates the need for large prints required by common frame-mounted filament holders. Also, it's very affordable. Depending on your location, the necessary materials will cost you at most $10-$20, likely a lot less. Mine ended up costing 2.50EUR for the M8 threaded rod (1 meter) and some filament. It's extremely simple. Anyone can assemble this without difficulty, even printers with inaccurate calibration can handle parts of this size easily. This also saves filament for printing more interesting items! What You'll Need: The printed parts, print two sets each. Some M8 nuts and washers, reuse the Anet ones if possible. Three 20cm long pieces of M8 threaded rod (Tip: check dollar stores or similar for low prices on 1m rods). A tool to cut the M8 threaded rod (a hacksaw will do fine). Alternatively, ask a local auto shop or school to cut these if none of your friends have tools suitable. Two 608zz bearings with an inner diameter of 8mm. Something to tighten and center the spool with. Remember to like, comment, collect, and share makes! Any feedback or suggestions are valuable to me. If you remix or use parts of this thing in your own creations, please give me a shout-out and add a link to the original thing!
