Anet A8 LED Holder
cults3d
This little piece allows you to attach two LEDs to the stock extruder carriage just behind the hotend to light up your prints for visual monitoring It is designed to attach (with two hex M3x20 screws provided with the A8) to the carriage-mounted X-belt holders/tensioners that have two screw holes, such as these: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2425783 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2134843 Once you have soldered in the LEDs and the wires, and tested the connections, glue the lid on top to keep everything properly isolated. You can wire it to the + and - 12V on the motherboard, directly to the PSU, through a switch (optional), or to the extruder fan. That's all up to you. Don't forget to add a resistor to the negative wire somewhere in your circuit. I used a 4.7 Kohm resistor.
